Class Description

Get ready to level up your visual journaling and sketchbook journey! This Intermediate Visual Journaling: "Growing Your Creative Practice" course is tailored for individuals who have either completed the introductory level of Visual Journaling or have a strong grasp of sketching techniques, maintain a consistent sketchbook practice and are enthusiastic about advancing their skills. Using a visual journal to record your life means the subject matter can vary on a daily basis. Throughout this course you will learn techniques to help you whether you are trying to capture a landscape, city scene or an evening out to dinner with friends. You'll continue to refine your sketching skills and with a blend of hands-on exercises, demonstrations and feedback. In this course you will: - Learn techniques for effectively creating focal points and enhancing depth in your sketches using a variety of materials such as watercolor, ink, or a combination of mediums. - Develop your abilities in line work, perspective, composition, and texture exploration, enabling you to create more intricate and visually captivating sketches. - Learn effective page composition techniques to include all desired elements while maintaining white space and leaving room for accompanying text. - Join a supportive and collaborative learning environment, where you can freely share your sketches, receive personalized guidance, and experience a strong sense of community and camaraderie. Please bring to class: - Your sketchbook or preferred paper - Your preferred watercolor set / brushes & pens. - If you use them also bring along your color or watercolor pencils. This is a 3 class course. Classes will take place once a week on Thursday evenings. Class time: 6-7:30 pm Class location: El Sabio Cócteles y Cervezas - Usaquén Cost $225,000 COP. Payment will be collected at the 1st class in cash. Included in the cost of the class will be one alcoholic or non alcoholic drink per person.
